Story:
I made this map as a wedding gift for my friend's friend who loves the White Mountains. The focus is on elevation (topography) using a hillshade underneath to create a somewhat 3D effect when printed. The color scheme is set so that the highest class of elevation represents everything over 4,000ft, making it easy to identify those Mountains. Lakes and rivers are on the map to help with orientation.
The Appalachian Trail is also on the map, snaking overtop the ridges. I used the trail to generate an elevation profile that can be included at the bottom of the map if you'd like, this allows viewers a different perspective of the elevation by integrating a z axis into the visual.
Color:
This map comes in four color schemes: classic, dark classic, black-and-white, and blue-brown all come with water features marked in dark grey or blue and the AT in semi-transparent white or dark grey. I've included the option of ordering classic and dark classic with the elevation profile, but feel free to contact about adding it to another scheme or designing your own.
Size:
Prints available in 11x14, 16x20 (recommended size), and 20x24 -- size includes .5" white border.
Note on the Process:
This is a digitally made GIS-map using data from NH Granit (New Hampshire's Statewide GIS Clearinghouse). Each map is locally printed using archival toner ink on 120lb paper with a matte finish. The 16x20 and 20x34 sizes are printed on 10 mil ultra-smooth matte poster paper, which produces a brighter color and smoother texture.

I hand-check each map for flaws and will personally package and ship with shipping insurance within 1 week of ordering
