This Map's Story:
I made this map as an homage to the great city that I live in--SAN FRANCISCO! I wanted to make something more tactile, so I screen printed this map to allow the tightly gridded streets to have a raised surface.
Color:
This map is available in two colors schemes: the "San Francisco Sunny" edition is a pink-to-orange gradient and the "San Francisco Foggy" edition is a purple-to-blue fade.
Size:
Screen printed on 12x18 inch archival paper
Note on the Process:
The map begins with geographically accurate GIS-data of the streets from the City of San Francisco. This data is processed in a mapping program and then smoothed in Illustrator. My screen printing shop then burned the map to a screen, which I used to hand-pull a small set of prints using Speedball acrylic ink on 100lb paper.

I package and ship each map with shipping insurance within 1-2 days of ordering.
