Alameda Screen Print

This Map's Story:
I made this map for a new eating/drinking establishment on Alameda. They know that Alameda prides itself in its close-knit community and wanted to create something unique that captured its character. I made the map simple and clean showing only streets and shorelines to allow viewers to use the distinct shape of the landform and the streets to locate meaningful places. For some of the screen prints I introduced complexity by double-printing or even triple-printing them with an offset to allow the colors to mix in interesting ways.

Color:
Available in many color combinations, all pictured in order: blue, light blue, red, light blue on orange, red on gold, black on gold, black on gold on red, black on red on gold (rotated offset prints).

Size:
Screen printed on 20x30 inch archival paper

Note on the Process:
This is a screen printed map that is based on GIS-data from Oakland GIS and the US Census Bureau. Each map is hand printed using high-quality acrylic ink on 120lb paper with a matte finish.

Shipping:
I hand-check each map for flaws and will personally package and ship with shipping insurance within 1 week of ordering.
