Allagash River Maine

Story:
I made this map for my friend's dad who leads an annual kayaking trip down the Allagash. The map's focus in on the river so that those familiar with it can recognize locations based on its bends and forks. I included the surrounding elevation (topography) for context and color.

Color:
This map comes in two color schemes: red-green elevation with the river in blue and red-blue elevation with the river in black. The "Green Textured" and "Blue Textured" both have an added layer of texture that helps define the changes in elevation.

Size:
Prints available in 12x18, 18x24, and 20x30 -- size includes .5" white border.

Note on the Process:
This is a digitally made GIS-map using data from the Maine Office of Geographic Information Systems and the USGS National Hydrography Dataset. Each map is locally printed using archival toner ink on 120lb paper with a matte finish. The 18x24 and 20x30 sizes are printed on 10 mil ultra-smooth matte poster paper, which produces a brighter color and smoother texture.

Shipping:
I hand-check each map for flaws and will personally package and ship with shipping insurance within 1 week of ordering (please allow additional time for custom color scheme requests).
